Hello all

The GIS and Dev team just got back from a week at the Esri Developers Summit in Palm Springs. We brought back some great ideas for wildfire mapping apps, and weather collection.

What kinds of things, or functions would you want to see?  GPS, lightning, tracking, photo sharing, etc…

We are starting to think about what’s next and hearing from you is very valuable in that push!

An app that would a lot would be a structure assessment app that could allow for pictures, lat/long, and questions. It would be great if it worked with or without service and once done populates on a map with appropriate color and able to share with others. Then if mitigation work is done assessment and color could change on record and map.

It would be nice if you could go somewhere lets say the SIT REPORT or somewhere and download an entire IAP or even just the map and once the map is downloaded … You can get a push notification to update the map without having to QR code scan again.

Hey R5MO. I’m pretty sure some pretty good tools will becoming your way from WLF shortly. We are working on creating a few new ways to enter data on the hotlist which will provide more timely maps and details associated to incidents. It’s pretty exciting to see this actually coming to fruition!
