Jim James was a good friend of my Father who was the Tule River DR from 1961 to1981.
For more info you might try the Sequoia retirees group especially Spivey who has a lot of time on the Sequoia. Jim was a great Supervisor and well known in Fire. I worked on the Kernville District 62 to 67 can’t give you much more info my dad has been gone for 3 years now so no help there.

Thanks so much for the info. He was my girlfriends grandpa and he too has been gone for a couple years now. Was going thru his old pictures the other day. I work in the fire service too and was curious if anyone here had more info.
    Thanks again!

He lived in Fortuna for a long time after retiring, was a member of the CDF and Humboldt County Forest Advisory Committee for a number of years. I got to know him fairly well, great guy, used to come by the CDF HUU office and visit His ex-daughter in law is the nurse practitioner that I go to in Eureka, and his son lives in the area.
