Apparently there is a bear cub on the Beaver Fire outside of Yreka, CA that is in need of rescue. Supposedly, they announced on Command imploring people not to use social media to publicize the cub, in case they need to euthanize it.  If anyone has connections to a wildlife rescue organization, please see what you can do.

Sounds like FWS is taking care of picking the cub up. Nice work.

Update – sounds like they monitored it all night and FWS found the cub with its mother this afternoon.

Lake Tahoe has a care center for animals including bears. I’m not sure if they’ll pick up, but if rescued I’m sure they can take it according to the website. 530-577-2273
