Burn Over Entrapment

Today I was looking through the Safenet page and came across a Burn Over Entrapment Safenet which took place on July 23rd at 1515 hours at Bear Divide Fire Station Angeles National Forest. Does any on know whether or not there is a 24 or 48 notification on this incident? Can any one provide any other information besides what’s stated in the Safenet? http://ow.ly/zsZb303hGul

Maybe it wasn’t exactly what happened. Anyone can file a Safenet. Even a first year FF that doesn’t know what they are looking at. Maybe someone got scared after an incident, wrote it up, but when it was looked into, it wasn’t as dangerous, or hazardous in real life. I’ve had that happen before, the FF did not even know we had a safety zone, escape routes, lookouts, aircraft, etc. watching the situation. Instead of asking someone if there was danger, he wrote up what later was described by experienced folks as a few trees torching in the interior of a fire… Don’t take everything as gospel in the safenet site, most has NOT been gone thru and investigated yet.. or, possibly it was a hazardous situation, an the investigation is not doe yet..
