We are pleased to inform you that we are working with two companies to do a 10-year review of the South Canyon IMRT and its status. The companies are Forest Stewardship Concepts represented by Jim Webb and Fire Safe Programs represented by Steve Pedigo.

The objectives of the review are to (1) review the progress made on initiatives launched as a result of the IMRT; (2) determine long-term effects of the solutions; and (3) produce a document that provides fact and insights into future needs.  This will prepare us all for the upcoming 10th year since South Canyon.

Let me stress this is not a review of the South Canyon fire.  This is a review of the actions taken as a result of the fatalities of South Canyon.  To our knowledge our agencies have rarely taken such a 10-year look at our actions.
