Yes Nerd, my little firefighter is due to arrive in about 3 weeks. I am fat and raging with hormones, which leads to extreme moodiness, to put it nicely, and it is hotter than hell here. He can wiggle his way out any time as far as I’m concerned. He’s big though, over seven pounds already and if I carry to term he could be 10 lbs and the Dr. will recommend a c-section. She says when they’re that big sometimes they just plain won’t fit or it can cause nerve damage in the spine and shoulders, so I am inclined to go with this recommendation, better safe than sorry.
We’re still trying to figure out how to make sure hubby will be home for the big day, I would be mighty unhappy if he missed it, mostly because my alternate birth coach is my mother-in-law, coppice? This will only pose a problem if he’s early, and I’m trying not to get my hopes up too much for that.
I keep busy with my nesting instinct, getting the baby’s room ready and my Dad is also coming out shortly after, so I’m preparing for his arrival getting our guest room ready. I’m almost as excited to see him as I am the baby.
