Thank you. I know what you’re saying is genuine. Here’s something for you…it came from a former IMT IC who I’ve come to very much appreciate and rely on in terms of his observations and advice. His mentorship is both direct and honest…exactly the kind of communication I prefer.
“Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming — ‘WOW, what a ride!!!” –author unknown
It can be taken a number of ways, whatever one’s preference. I chose to consider it a challenge to live life fully, without fear of ridicule or criticism. It encourages us to get our hands (and our butts) dirty, make mistakes and try to repair them, see what’s around us with eyes wide open and be able to both belly laugh and/or sob, whichever we feel is appropriate. Life IS worth participating in. Making it a spectator sport is like painting a portrait of a fat, dripping watermelon but never taking a bite…or pelting your brother with the slippery black seeds. Who can resist that?
Stay safe, Nerd…and all.
Poet and Artista, you two keep the juice flowing…but don’t forget to dig into the watermelon. ; )
Sammi, my prayers are with you.
