Dawn, be sure that in this business bad news travels fastest and no news is good news. Phones don’t grown on trees and all fire camps do not have phones. BUT also, a crew is more likely to get phone access while traveling from one fire to another.. that’s usually when I hear from my dh and it’s usually a safe assumption that if I’m not hearing from him it’s because he’s still on the last fire I knew about (not always but usually). I’m on pins and needles today myself. It’s day 14 and I might actually get him home tonight.. but who knows what the gov’t is gonna think makes sense… so I try not to get my hopes up too high.. the crash from it is horrible… btdt just this season actually. So I’m trying not to hope and yet, you know you do. I’ve asked AB about passing along an email address for you to contact me if you’d like
Mrs. RxFire
I passed on your e-mail addy.
