FSWYF-

Hi.. My husband’s shot crew moved today from New Mexico (he was there for 18 days total with traval time) and now he is in Arizona on the Brins fire in Sedona. I don’t know when he will be back, but it was nice to hear his voice today. Our daughter is 18 months old and she got to talk to daddy today. She was so happy she could have just babbled for ever. When he does get a chance to call, it is late at night and she is in bed, so I was very happy for them both that they got to talk. It is hard going from a family to just me and the baby, but to tell you the truth I don’t think I would want it any other way, fire in the summer is all I know and in its own way the consistency of un unconsistency is somewhat comforting. Or maybe I’m just strange! :
Although It would be nice to have someone close that is also a fire wife with a little one. You can have all the friends in the world but they just don’t know what it is like to be a fire wife.

I hope you hear from your hubby soon FSWYF
