Florida Forest Service is usually hiring somewhere. Firefighters in FL work full time, year round. There are over 600 full time fire positions in the state. Experience preferred, but not required. You can apply through https://jobs.myflorida.com/index.html

    Been fighting fire with Usfs 7 years I missed my window for full time employment. I am over the age limit of 37 could they over look this aspect or does it still apply. Can you give me a hint on the districts that are hirring. I would like to look up and see what I would be fighting fire against I hear it’s a different animal over on that side.

    I’m a retired firefighter from New Jersey I am 57 years old I’ve also did part time work with the forest fire service I assisted in prescribe burns and also worked in a air base despacting air craft as well as filling them is their an opportunity for someone my age in this field thank you for your time
