Hey, so I’ve had some experience doing prescribed fire and such with AmeriCorps and therefore have my FFT2 quals, which expire in March. I’m looking for any tips, but especially for places to apply to jobs other than usajobs. I will apply to a job anywhere, so if you know of good places please help me out?

Try The Nature Conservancy (TNC) They own land all over the country that they manage with Prescribed fire. Their southern preserves have a season that works well with federal fire season. Jan to May and then May to Oct for the feds. I’ve done this for eight years and had a great time and burned a lot of acres. They are easy to apply to, their requirements are quite easy to meet.
