Default AZ-COF-Taylor Fire

This is a smoke called in by Turkey Butte LO.
Currently is 80+ acres in heavy fuels in the Sycamore Canyon Wilderness. Major crown runs with 1/4 mile spotting. The Northern AZ Type 2 Team has been activated.

Really nice dark column showing from Prescott right now, looks to be burning very actively through sycamore canyon, everybody stay heads up and be safe.

I heard requests for air tankers,Flagstaff was checking to see if they were in the TFR for President Obamas visit and if so trying to get emergency release.

Tanker enroute to Prescott for this fire, 1 tanker currently at Prescott working the Trail Fire on KNF

My info was from the pilot of the tanker who called in off Prescott for the Trail Fire, heard by myself and 2 other people.

Just ordered up a relief lead (coming out of ABQ), another Type 1 Exclusive Use Heli (coming out of ABQ) and a Type 3 Exclusive Use Heli (coming out of Kingman).

Went big today. Looking at 1000+ acres with more to come. Plan for tomorrow:
