Posting for Temporary Positions:

Units will be responsible for posting their temporary positions to meet Bargaining Unit obligations.  Bargaining Union Forests should ensure that the 7 day posting has occurred prior to submitting certificate requests to ASAP.  If Regions establish websites to post their vacancies, we would like to establish a link from our FS-JOBS website for applicants to view.  Please contact Cheryl Axness at 208/373-4283 or email caxness. 

Posting for Permanent Positions

ASAP will post permanent positions on the FS-JOBS website.  The 2002 ASAP Implementation Team is working on a process for Forest HR Specialists to submit their positions for posting.  For dates, see chart on Page 2 of this message. 

Permanent Mel Fire Rounds

ASAP will advertise Permanent Fire Hire positions for grades 4-7 for all Regions but Region 10; additionally, grade 8 for Region 5 will be advertised.  The announcement will open December 3.
