To all the friends, family, followers of Wildlandfire.com, and the Fire Service Community,

We send our heartfelt gratitude for all you’ve done to sacrifice your lives for the protection of others. On this day, 13 years ago, I watched the world turn upside down, and I feared San Francisco was next. I watched the last 747 be guided safely to San Francisco Airport by two USAF Fighter Jets out of Moffett Field. I worked at a CalFire Station on the ridge above SFO.

I returned to NYC a year and a month later alongside 60,000 other firefighters throughout the world to honor the fallen. That event drove me to work to provide the best tools aligned with the best information we can create for our fire service community.

On June 15th I officially stepped away from my career after 19 years to dedicate the rest of my life to meeting that goal. So I’m here today, as CEO, giving our commitment to you, Wildlandfire.com is here to protect and serve you, our community of Fire Service Professionals!

Every morning I wake up to Dierks Bentley, It’s a long trip alone.. And I let that song be my guiding light to make sure, if a catastrophic event happens to our Brothers and Sisters, we know we did something to help provide better information, and better tools to make better informed decisions!

We will never forget!
