Cory – Sorry for the late response – haven’t been in TheySaid for quite awhile. If you’ve been honorably discharged from active duty in the past 3 yrs, then you meet the Veterans Recruiting Appointment (VRA). This is a special hiring authority that a lot if not most Veterans are aware of. You don’t have to utilize USA Jobs you can be hired on the spot with a resume and your DD214. This authority gives you preference for positions from temporary (1039) to permanent up to the GS-11 level.
