I’m a reporter with Mother Jones Magazine, a national political magazine that is based in San Francisco and does a lot of coverage of environmental issues in the West. I am interested in doing a story about a firefighter who was injured this year fighting a wildfire. The injury doesn’t have to be really serious but needs to have been sustained from the actual fire. The story would be told from this person’s perspective and would discuss what happened, as well as his or her thoughts on the associated environmental issues that are behind the rise in the frequency and intensity of wildfires. I’m trying to find people to interview and would really appreciate volunteers or suggestions.
